Show-report Continental European Trophy Show 2005

On Sunday 27th April 2005 – Easter Sunday, the C.E.T.S. (Continental European Trophy Show) took place in Belgium in the Fort of Merksem, near Antwerp. Normally this show is in Waasmunster, but that location wasn’t available this year.

This show is for all the Bull Terriërs and Miniature Bull Terriërs living on the continent. In the morning there is an Open Show and everybody is allowed to enter his or her dog for that show. In the afternoon there is the C.E.T.S. and that’s only for invited dogs. For this show Mr. And Mrs. Craven from the Sugarbaye kennel in Australia were invited to judge.

For the Open Show were 57 entries and Best of Breed was de Wolf’s white bitch White Attraction of Serious Desire (Gizmo of Serious Desire x Ch.Mystic Sun’s Zero Double). You can find all the results of the Open Show on our website www.bullterrier.nl

For the C.E.T.S. were 46 dogs invited. For this show we have seven Trophies and the first one is the Ch.Harpers Howda Memorial Trophy for the Best White Male. The winner of this Trophy was van Eden’s Super Bowl’s Collierboy Jw’04/W’04 (Terjo’s Sundance x Super Bowl’s Zoe). He is bred in Belgium and living in the Netherlands. Runner-up was Collier’s Super Bowl’s Bonjovi (Terjo’s Sundance x Super Bowl’s Xtasy), from Belgium.

The second Trophy on offer was the Ch.Kingsfarm’s Bonny Boy Memorial Trophy for the Best Coloured Male. Winner was v.d.Linden’s red male Ch.Aphoro’s Ride with the Devil (Marshelsea Metalika x Ch.Bergalo’s One Night Stand) from the Netherlands. Runner-up was Violaine’s tricolour Smashing Shub des Pres d’Hermare (Terjo’s Sundance x Hammels Yum Yum) from France.

For Best Male there is the Lenster Trophy. So we saw the two winning males back in the ring for this Trophy. Super Bowl’s Collierboy Jw’04/W’04 was the winner of this Trophy.

The fourth Trophy, called The Souperlative Trophy is for the Best White Bitch. Maton’s Ultimate Joy’s Sweet Symphony (Ch.Special Edition of Serious Desire x Ch.Waltzing Mathilda’s Yarrawonga) from the Netherlands won this Trophy. Runner-up was Collier’s Super Bowl’s Cypress Hill (Terjo’s Sundance x Super Bowl’s Zoe) from Belgium. She is a littersister of Collierboy who was Best Male.

Finally, there was the Ch.Phidgity Snowdream Trophy for Best Bitch. The judges gave this Trophy to Ultimate Joy’s Sweet Symphony.

The last and most important Trophy is called the C.E.T.S Trophy, for the Best Bull Terriër on the Continent. For this Trophy we saw the Best Male and Best Bitch back in the ring. On this occasion the male Super Bowl’s Collierboy Jw’04/W’04 took the honours, and was declared the winner of the C.E.T.S. Trophy.

 

Congratulations to Anneke and Brian van Eden of the Off Oxion kennel, owners of the winning male, and of course to Irene Collier of the Super Bowl’s kennel, his breeder.

I think Mr. And Mrs.Craven did a good job and we had a fantastic C.E.T.S. 2005.
