Show
report C.E.T.S.
2000
The C.E.T.S. (Continental
European Trophy Show) was this year organised by the Belgian Bull
Terrier Club and the show is for the breeds : American Staffordshire
Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Miniature Bull Terrier and Bull
Terrier. In this account we reduce ourselves to the Bull Terrier. The show was on Easterday,
23th of april 2000, in the Cultural Centre Hoogendonck in Waasmunster.
It was a nice location and the Trophy-show was in a big ring. And as
usual in Belgium there was a nice pub in the corner. So they had chosen
for a good location, much better than the Fort of Merksem where in the
past they also organised this show. For the Trophy Show were 54
Bull Terriers invited, coming from several different European countries. The judges came from the
United Kingdom, Mrs.Young and Mr.Lammas. Mrs.Young judged on more
European shows in the past, but Mr.Lammas was new for most visitors. This show has the same
intention as the English Trophy Show, so we have white males, coloured
males, white bitches and coloured bitches. Starting with 14 white males
and the winner was the Belgian male Hammels United and runner-up was the
English male, now living in Spain, Radclyffe Gophrit of Dollygroves (the
father of the winning male on this year’s English Trophy Show: Emred
Devil’s Chance). In the group of coloured males
were 11 dogs and the winner here was the from England imported male
Ch.Gentle Lawman of Kilacabar. Runner-up was Ch.BKH Cosmopolitan Ragged
Duncan. Best male was Hammels
United. And then the white bitches,
the biggest group today with 16 participants. Runner-up was Ch.Vitara vom
Telgei, also from Germany. In the group of coloured
bitches were 10 participants. Winner was Ch.Knucklehead Intarsia from
Germany and runner-up was from Holland: Dani’s First Love of Pretty
Pinks. |
